June 1 is when the Pacifica elections season officially opens.
And a number of important steps need to be completed by June 30 for those who want to be candidates for Pacifica’s Boards, or to be able to nominate or vote for them.
That month is when candidates for Local (individual station boards) and for the National Board can file to run for office on their respective Boards, and when they need to gather e-signatures from current members (serving as nominator) to qualify.
June 30 is the deadline for gathering signatures and making sure that all nominators as well as candidates are currently members. But don’t wait until the rush at the end of the month to get your membership up to date or your eligibility to be a candidate completed.
Renew your Pacifica membership now, if you have not yet donated at least the minimum amount (for individuals, or $50 per couple) since July 1 of 2025. Links to donate for each Pacifica station are at pacificaforward.org/#ready
