At a time when corporate consolidation, political polarization, and attacks on journalism continue to threaten the free exchange of ideas, Pacifica’s mission remains as relevant today as it was when KPFA first signed on the air 77 years ago.
As a former General Manager of KPFA, I have seen the importance of having board members who understand that their role is not to manage daily operations, but to protect the mission, provide strategic leadership, ensure financial stability, and support the fundraising necessary for long-term success.
